How we researched this guide
We reviewed the official pages linked below on 2026-10-07 and grouped channels by audience and purpose. This is desk research, not a submission experiment. We have not measured approval times, traffic, or conversion rates. Unknown fees and backlink attributes are explicitly marked. Platform claims about ranking are not independently validated.
Launch communities, software directories, and publishing platforms serve different jobs. Choose by audience fit. A listing does not guarantee a followed link, an increase in DR, or a sale. These are editorial links, with no paid placement or affiliate tracking.

How to check a listing’s backlink
Open the published listing and inspect the link to your website. Record its target URL, redirects, and rel attributes. “noopener” and “noreferrer” are security and privacy attributes; neither is “nofollow.” Confirm that the page is public and the link still exists. A link found in HTML is not proof that Ahrefs has crawled or counted it.
Ahrefs explains its domain-level link metric in its DR documentation. Follow Google’s spam policies; do not buy ranking links or require reciprocal links.
